Hello people -I bought a new laptop with XP disks included etc. I have an
old tower type (home use only)PC with win98 on it. My query is can I wipe
out win98 and using my laptop xp disks install XP on my tower.

I would also like to condsider maybe networking the two machines together,
as my hobby is photography and when travelling I have todownload from my
camera the photos onto my laptop, which Ide prefere to transfer to the home
PC when I return.

I would be grateful for your advise as I don't know wether this is an
illegal move or technicaly not wise.

Regards .......Emsnan

No, if you want Windows XP on the second computer, you need to buy a second
copy.
Even if the EULA permitted this, which it doesn't, the CD would probably not
work on the other computer.

You should have no problems networking the Windows XP and Windows 98
computers together to share data.
