XP-Upgrade

I recently upgraded to XP from ME and lost all inboxes,
outboxes, sent items, etc as well as the address books
and favorites. The recovery procedure listed in the
Microsoft Knowledge BAse Article 313055 didn't go back to
times prior to the upgrade.

I don't think we can help you out here, sorry. The rule is and always has
been backup...backup...backup... If you have inportant information that you
don't want lost then you must back it up before installing or removing ANY
software or hardware. XP does has sytem restore points, but they only
affect software installed after XP. And then the rule still applies as the
system restore process doesn't always work as advertised.

Sorry.

I don't know if this is at all the situation...and I'm not
too technical here...but a friend who upgraded had created
several users and the address book, etc. only showed up
under the first user created. She had someone copy (or
export?)those files to the other user accounts.

May not apply...but I tried! Good luck.
