XP Upgrade using GP

I am wishing to upgrade some of my windows2000
workstations to windowsXP. I have a AD, windows2000
server and some windowsXP and some windows2000
workstations. I have an open license with a single
keycode and a media disk. I want to setup a group policy
and deploy this upgrade in a cost effective way. Has
someone done this? Is group policy the way to go?
Thanks--

you cant upgrade your OS through group policy you will want to look into
setting up a RIS server to deploy your new os.
