I just finished reinstalling XP and went to the Update
site and spent the biggest part of the day downloading the
Service Pack SP1. After the installation, when I went to
my folders, I could no longer view my .eml and .mth files
as thumbs.
I have a laptop with Windows XP and have never done more
than a few updates and I still have that capability on
it.
If anyone knows how to fix the problem, I would appreciate
your help. Otherwise, I'll just trash the update.
Thanks!!

Well there is some bad news.

Cannot View Web Content Files in Thumbnails View
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;327833

For stability and performance reasons, Windows XP SP1 makes Thumbnails view
unavailable for the following file types:
a.. HTML documents (.htm and .html files)
b.. XML documents (.xml files)
c.. Internet e-mail messages (.eml files)
d.. Internet news messages (.nws files)
So the Thumbnail View for .eml files is no longer supported after SP1. I do not know
if Derive files are in the same boat or not.
