XP to W 2000 Network issue

I have 3 computers networked at home. 2 are using Windows XP Home edition,
the third is using Windows 2000 Pro. The W2000 machine is wired to my router
and the XP machines are wireless. All can access the internet and receive
e-mail. The W2000 is using a (free) Zone Alarm firewall. The other two are
only using the (built in) XP firewall.

The W2000 machine can see both of the other machines and the XP machines can
see each other. However, neither XP machine can see the W2000 machine. All
machines are in the same workgroup and each computer has designated "shared
files". Finally, the XP machines can ping the W2000 machine.

Any advice on how to get the XPs to see the W2000?

When you say "see", I assume you mean that you can
see shared folders while in Explorer. What then happens
when you type this command from a Command Prompt:

net use x: \\Win2000PC\SomeShareName

On the WinXP PC, create local user account(s), with password(s),
that have the desired access privileges to the desired shares. Log on
to the other PCs using those account(s), and you will be able to
access the designated shares, provided your network is configured
properly. Also, make sure that WinXP's built-in firewall
is disabled on the internal LAN connection.

On the Win2K PC, create local user account(s), with password(s),
that have the desired access privileges to the desired shares. Log on
to the other PCs using those account(s), and you will be able to
access the designated shares, provided your network is configured
properly.

Usually, WinXP's Networking Wizard makes it simple and painless --
almost entirely automatic, in fact. There's a lot of useful,
easy-to-follow information in WinXP's Help & Support files, and here:
