I have a new PC, with XP Pro installed. It thinks I'm on
a network, when I'm not. The default setting
in "Messenger" said I was not logged onto my network
communications service; in "task manager", when I tried
to close come programmes, they were network-related and
it closed down the system when I tried to close one; and
in the bottom task-bar, there is a "network cable is
unplugged icon".
How do I tell Windows I'm not on a network?
