XP System Restore & MS programs

I can not access System Restor even in safe mode with the cmd promt. Also
all the MS program icons are gon, Office, intellepoiint, keybosard,MSN. I
have uninstalled SP2 and reinstalled and did all the up dates. When I update
Office 2000 it won,t update everything esle is ok any sugestions on where to
go, Thanks Bill
