xp system faster cpu replacement

I replace the cpu on my computer that run windows xp,
replsce to a faster cpu now the computer does not boot
past safe windows.
 
Did you only replace the CPU processor or did you replace the motherboard
also??

Hi, you might need to change your bios settings to accommodate the replaced
CPU....
