XP system date settings changes mysteriously by itself

P

PETEUK

I have a ghost in my system as my date format keeps
changing by itself.
My PC is on 24/7 and only I use it yet at least 3 times a
week the date format changes from dd/mm/yy to dd/mm/yyyy
and I have to keep changing it via the regional settings.
This is a problem as I use excel for business stuff and
because the cells are at set sizes when the date format
changes to the long date type it doesnt print it out.

Is there any reason why my PC changes the date format by
itself???

It should be some kind of spyware or malware causing this problem. Try Ad-Aware or Spybot to remove this. You can get these from download.com. Before using this dont forget to update it!

If you still continue to have this probolem, Try this

Start->run and type msconfig.exe

Go to start up and look for some suspicous file names. If you find some uninstall that particular program by going to My Computer->Control Panel->Add or Remove programs.

Or just disable it!

Good Luck!
