XP Style Problem

Hi all,
XP Pro SP2 working well until I removed HD to test 2 others.Returned
original HD, booted OK except that it came up as Windows classic
style. The machine now hangs when I try to return to XP style and I
must re-boot back into classic. I've been to kelly's korner but fixes
are for registry 5.0. Mine is 5.1 (SP2 I guess!)
Can anyone throw any light on this please. Reinstall would be stupid
for such a minor problem. I can live with it but prefer XP style.
Thanks
Ross

Kelly's fixes apply to any version of XP.

Just a suggestion as this happened to me once.......Cut down the
resolution & try again....It worked for me but may not for
you...Technically I don't know how it worked but it did so give it a try
as I can't furnish a "technical" explanation........

5.1 is the Windows version. It uses Registry 5.0

For all interested persons the solution was a simple SYSTEM RESTORE!
Went back a few days, restored and BINGO no more tears! One feature
that really makes XP worthwhile!!

EXACT SAME PROBLEM. Except I disabled System Restore so that is not an
option. Can someone post a MANUAL fix? I do not want to use the Kelly fixes
as prefer to know what I am changing. Thanks.
