XP startup

Since re-installing XP on my Dell PC I get a black screen with white text
which counts down before the normal startup. Enter, will skip this screen.
Any ideas how to get rid of it altogther

Hello Warren,



I am assuming that you have Windows XP Pro. Take the following steps:



Right Click "My Computer"

Go to "Advanced" Tab

Click the "Settings" button under "Startup and Recovery"

Under the "System Startup" section you will see "Time to display list of
operating systems:" then it has time in "seconds"

You can cut that time down to your personal preference.
