XP start up screen

I keep seeing people referring to a new XP start up screen
in SP2. My install went perfectly and it has worked flawlessly
since (about 2 weeks now). But I have the same start up screen
I had on SP1. I don't really care, but am curious, why would this
be? Thank you.

Do F8 on compaq logo than you will get startup menu and in that you will get
one new option disable restart
 
I don't know.
SP2 normally switches the splash screen to just Windows XP generic.
