XP SP2 won't talk to my Win2K ICS gateway...

Hi,

Don't like to bother busy people with dumb questions, but I've now spent
several days trying to get my XP machine to get onto the Internet through an
older Win2K host (my modem doesn't work under XP, that's why I tried the ICS
route).

This is now threatening my marriage...

I can see all machines on the network and sometimes come close to getting
the Win2K machine to dial out, in fact it did a few times but landed me on
the ISP's firewall - apparently I can't get the DNS bit right.

Any suggestions humbly welcomed.
