Outlook Express, System Restore, System Info, Search, Internet Explorer, and
a number of other essential tools have been disabled immediately after I
installed SP2. I have been using Mozilla Firefox but had to switch to IE for
the download of SP2. Mozilla comes up but is the only program that works.
Spybot S&D, HiJack This, and various other 'manuel' trial and error attempts
using msconfig all result in the same thing.

I hate to uninstall Mozilla since it is the only thing that is running which
will keep me in touch with someone who can help unless someone will GUARANTEE
that IE will work with Firefox out of the way . . .

Thanks,

Mike

Firefox is NOT the problem, why would you want to uninstall it?

I also had to go to IE to download SP2, Although I did not have same
problems, just a real slowdond on IE. I'm back to Firefox-can't understand
why I went back to IE. I will not uninstall Firefox, still seams the best
thing going.

I un-installed SP2, System Restore THEN worked, I went back to my PRE SP2
settings, and everything is working fine -
