XP SP2 networking

Hi there,
i have a basic networking problem with my SP2 Image. Ping works fine from my
image to other machines but it does not work from those machines to my image.
I did not include the firewall components "Windows Firewall/Internet
Connection Sharing (ICS)" and the control panel to my image . (When i use
netsh Firewall, the system tells my not to find "firewall". Furthermore in
the local services Table (DCOMCNFG Utility) the firewall service is shown as
not started and when i try to start the service it fails.
Therefore i suppose no firewall components are left on my image.
The network settings on my image use fix IP Adresses.

Any idea?
Thanks
Jo

I tested my image with automatic IP and it works fine, so that it seems that
my problem occurs just with fixed IP adresses!

How about the firewall settings on the other machines?
