XP SP2 Firewall Settings

I'm trying to connect to a Networked Drive over the Internet.
I use the command: "Net Use w: \\Ip Address\Share Name" When I have the
Firewall on the sharing machine off, I connect with out any problems. When
I have the Firewall on, the connection is refused.
Can someone tell me what settings do I have to change to be able to have the
Firewall on, and still connect to the Networked Drive?
Thank you

File sharing in this way over the Internet is not very secure in general.

You could make it reasonably secure by leaving the firewall running,
enabling the File+Pring sharing exception in the firewall ,and modifying the
scope of the exception to be a Custom List, including not only your local
subnet, but also the IP address of the remote machine.

If the remote machine is on a dynamic IP address, then there is no secure
way to do this.

You should look into either remote desktop or VPN solutions.
