Hi group,

Hope someone out there knows what this problem is. I deployed XP Service
Pack 2 in all my university labs on PCs running Office XP SP3. Before
installing SP2, users and professors were able to click on an Access
file from 1) a web link or 2) as an attachment in e-mail and it would
open fine. Now SP2 blocks this function entirely citing a security risk
and will not open in either aforementioned situations. KB303650 and
KB810582 were somewhat helpful but didn't solve the problem entirely. I
would like to be able to open files via web site links or as an
attachment as I used to and not have SP2 security complain. Is there a
security setting in Access or SP2 itself that will turn off security
warnings for MS Access? Thanks for any help.

I figured it out. Adding sites to trusted sites and allowing pop-us from
specific sites fixed it.
