XP SP2 and Norton

Downloaded SP2- no problems at all then noticed it said my Norton Antivirus
was unknown, I thought what now, went to Symantec's site and sure enough
there is a problem but they are working on it and a fix should soon be out
via Live Update- guess I was one of the lucky one's- computer seems a tad
slower but otherwise is working fine, got rid of Messenger thanks to Kelly's
site once again

Some have reported that they have the NAV update, but where they got it I
have no idea: 30min ago I ran Live Update, which gave me a 1.5M(?) update,
but it had no effect on SP2's antivirus reporting.

i got it last week but it seems to be only effecting the virus protection
because norton firewall 2003 is still going nuts when i go into windows- it
is still being disabled by the secuity center - the security center keeps re
enabling itself and they both seem to be conflicting each other becauses
startup is real slow now

You may need to upgrade to NAV 2004 after which LiveUpdate will be
able to correct your problem.

Good Luck,

i kinda figured that so i will wait till 2005 comes out this oct and just
live with the problem now- i am protected because i am behind a router - the
norton is merely double protection

you need to do a little research. Being behind a router is not a substitute
for anti-virus protection.

Symantec is planning to ship Norton Anti-Virus 2005 the second week of
September. If you choose, you can order an upgrade priced version from here:
