XP SP1 with Hotfixes - Only Last Hotfix in Add Remove Programs

-----Original Message-----
I have created an XP SP1 installation share that contains a number of
hotfixes that I want to have installed when XP is installed (I followed the
directions in
http://www.microsoft.com/WindowsXP/pro/downloads/servicep acks/sp1/hfdeploy.asp).

All of the hotfixes get installed (I have verified the appropriate registry
keys are present in the HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Update key) and all of the
file versions match the files contained in the hotfix.

However, only the last hotfix I applied appears in the Add Remove Programs
window. Does anyone know why that happened and what I could do to get all
of the installed hotfixes to appear?

Thanks, Tyler

You did not downoad all the DLL files that are required.
I personnally ordered the CDs', because I to have had the
same problem.
The CD is free.
You pay $10.50 for shipping & handling.
I like the CD, because
1). it only takes 30 minutes instead of waiting 2 3/4
hours for all the files to download on a 56K modem.
2). You get all the DLL that are required are on the CD.
3). No missing DLL files do to static on the phone line.

Actually, I did download all the files. Everything was working fine (as I
wrote below - all the files *did* get installed (even the hotfix entries
were in the registry - QFECheck showed them installed)), they just didn't
show up in the "Add Remove Programs" list.

I found out it was my own stupidity - I had added the /N flag when the
components were installed (as per the web page below) and that is what makes
them unremovable. When I removed that flag, the hotfixes appeared in the
"Add Remove Programs" list.

Thanks, Tyler
