Is anyone aware of any issues with sp1 effecting group
policy? After I install SP1 on the client machines and
login i get software restriction policies when trying to
access any program. As soon as i remove sp1 i am able to
access the programs again.
Please help

There are huge problems if can stay away from XPsp1 you
will be better off.

1) Of time your group policies will stop applying to the
client computers. In my case this means that a local or
remote user takes 15-30 minutes to logon to a Win2K
domain.
2) Files that are opened on the server are opened in read
only mode which means the users has to save-as the file
to the shared resource on the server and then delete the
old file.
3) If the user does not connect properly to the server
the loose the mapped drives (red X on drives) and Outlook
looses the user name, domain and password settings that
were previously cached.
4) Many errors in the users application log about USERENV
1030 and 1006 also 1058.

I have worked with NT since the beggings of NT3.5 and let
me tell you Windows XPsp1 on a network is the worst thing
you can do.
