WinXP pro SP2 has stopped some features of Win2000 server group po

I am running a network which has a windows 2000 server SP4 acting as a domain
controller and many windows xp professional SP1 clients. Group policy was
working fine until I decided to install Win XP SP2 on my computer only and
not on the rest with the idea to find deployment methods later.

Since I have done this the policy setting to hide the C: drive and Restrict
access to the C: drive for the rest of the clients has not been applied to
the clients. It is applied to my machine though because it is SP2 but is not
applied to the SP1 clients.

I understand that if i connect from a SP2 computer to the group policy on
the DC that it updates the adm files and the group policy. Since this has
happened I cannot hide or restrict the C: drive on the SP1 clients even
though this is selected in the gp setting.

Any advice to revert to the original gp would be appreciated or any general
advice.

Many Thanks.
