XP SP1 affects USB

Matt

After installing XP SP1 on my Win XP Pro PC, no USB devices were able to
work. No response when plugging anything into the USB ports, although USB
was still appearing in Device Manager.

After uninstalling Service Pack 1, I was again able to install and use USB
devices. I would still like to install Win XP SP1 but would like to avoid
this problem from happening again. Is this a known problem with SP1?

Any help would be much appreciated.
