XP SP-2 Re-boot loop: new issue

G

Guest

While upgrading to XP SP-2 from SP-1 via CD, I am stuck in re-boot loop. I
have read extensive conversation on this issue and eliminated the possibility
of a Mpegport.sys driver issue as it does not exist on my machine. My Safe
Mode reports:
" IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL " on the Blue Screen.

Any ideas/suggestions?

P.S. The SP-2 Un-Install worked perfectly and I have full recovery back to
SP-1! Whew!

Thnx

Thank you for your prompt response and information. I am presently
researching some of the leads you presented. Although I have discounted the
Prescott-issue (I am running an older P-3), the boot log shows consistant
failure immediately after AGP440.sys thus eluding to, perhaps, a video driver
issue.
Thank you, again.

BigByrd,

AGP440.sys is specifically mentioned in the link above. Did you
read it?
