XP software conflicts!

I have installed XP pro on a computer that used to have
2000 pro. I have Roxio Easy CD Creator on this
computer. I have tried to uninstall, reistall...nothing
works! I have downloaded a fix for the program, that
stopped the computer from turning itself on and off at
will but now I can't reboot properly.

I need to get this program off my computer!!!!! HELP!

Now, if I can figure out a hack to get the distinctive
ring feature to work with XP, I will be in business.
