XP slow to open folder on NT 4 Svr

We have a NT 4.0 server based folder that takes 20 - 30
seconds to open in explorer from XP Pro and 2 seconds to
open from 2000 Pro Any suggestions, we have tried many
from Microsoft.

I do not have an answer, but am having a very similar

problem. Either one of two things happen: #1 as
described above, it is very slow to open a folder on an
NT4.0 server from an XP computer or #2 it is very slow to
save a file to an NT4.0 server from an XP computer. I
updated NT4.0 to service pack 6a, but this did not help.
I also updated XP to service pack 1. I've scoured the
knowledge base, but can not find anything. Would also
appreciate any answer.
