This is what you want to do.

1. Press Alt + Control and Del terminate the rogue applications running in
the background.
2. Install a firewall, MS ICF should contain the spread of the virus
3, Install a virus scanner or take this free online scan
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp
4, Let trend micro scan your system for virus's
5, Download all updates from MS

if a virus is found and is deleted then reboot ur machine and all should be
fine, if not, note down the location of the worm, usually the worm is
located in the the system32 folder which is located in the windows folder,
then reboot into safe mode and remove the file(s) manually.

should help

Hello
To stop the shutdown.
Start>Run>(type) cmd (enter)>(type) shutdown -a (enter)
Notice the space between shutdown & -
This will halt the shutdown process while you repair the virus.

Download, Update & Run Ad-Aware Spy Remover

www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/

Download & Run a free virus scanner to double check your current one.

Be sure to visit Microsoft's Windows Update site and download all the
windows updates this is for your security and safety.

www.microsoft.com/windowsupdate

Be sure your virus protection has been registered and auto update is
enabled.

Be sure to visit MS Windows Update site and download the updates this is for
your security and safety.

www.windowsupdate.com

The thing most people do not know is that after they buy a computer with
virus protection installed they have to go in and register and download the
updates and continue to update it or set it to auto update then after a
period of time the subscription will run out usually in 90-180 days at that
time they will have to purchase new protection either online or from a
retail store and at that time they will be able to update for a period of
365 days (1 year).
