XP Shortcut Key Disabled

Hi All,

I am experiencing problem in my pc running xp prof. I am connecting to a
LAN in the office which is around 10 pcs. the pc started to get slower
when surfing compared to other pc in the network which i didn't find the
cause. besides its slow browsing, all shortcut keys are not functioning
and instead display the shortcut charecter it self for instance Cntl+V
for Past displays V as char. I though it as virus and made compete scan
through Mcafee but still the problem exists.

Sorry, if you didn't get my point. May be i can't explain the way you want
it

Here is my issue, I have pc with xp prof. I can surf the net and can
access the other pcs on the local network. My problem is that i have slow
browsing experience compared to other pc on the local network (i.e other
pcs are faster when browsing then mine). Also when I am accessing other
resources on the local network I need to wait long to the access. (too
slow to access other pc)

After a while, the pc started to behave differently, I can't copy
text/graphic using keyboard (Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V keyboard shortcuts) but only
through mouse selection. Kindly I don't know other way to say it but that
is my problem.

So far I have done

1. I have changed UTP cable from my pc to the 3com Switch on the local
network
2. I have made full pc scan for viruses with Mcafee.

Have you tried setting your PC clock to the correct time? Your PC thinks
it's tomorrow already.

PC clock is correct.

Check your time zone settings as well. You're posting from the future.
