XP setup problem!!

I can download the XP files to the setup folder but when my computer restarts
to install them I get the XP screen with the blue line light for a short
while then the computer restarts. I tried this many times with the same
results. I have a new upgrade XP CD so do not understand why this happens.

Is there anyone that has solved this problem?

Why are you downloading XP files? From where?

Just boot from the XP CD and install from there.

Guess I was not to clear in my post.

I am booting from my CD when this happens.
