well it depends on where you stopped
the process.

if you stopped it after entering the
product key,

then you need to complete the install.

however if you stopped before the
product key,

then the process you interrupted was in
a state of copying the files from the
cd onto the hd and didn't install them.

so I would return to the setup as the
computer requests and when you get
to entering the product key,

and if I recall you can select cancel and
and the installation will be aborted.

-------------------

however, there is a caveat.

because the attempted install may have
re written the boot files I would then
suggest to boot with that cd, select
repair and launch the recovery console.

then at the disk prompt run>:

fixboot
fixmbr

then exit, remove cd and see if your
proceed with the normal booting.

incidentally, the fixmbr warning
is a bit extreme, just enter yes to
proceed.

---------------------

if the above doesn't work than proceed
with your repair install but carefully read
the screens to repair the o.s. instead of
repeating a clean install.

---------------------

the caveat for the above is that your
cd version must match the version
on your hard disk.

a sp2 cd cannot repair an sp3 o.s.
