XP Setup Freeze at screen resoution

I am doing a new install of XP Pro. on a new system. Going smooth until it
gets to checking the screen resoultion part. The window on the black screen
states "To improve the appearance of visual elements, Windows will
automatically adjust your screen resoultion." An "ok" button is there to
click, but hitting enter does nothing. It seems I am stuck here. What am I
missing? Thanks in advance.

I should have also noted that the window shows the arrow, but attaching a
mouse does not allow me to move the arrow either. I am not certain my mouse
is USB 2.0. If it is not, could this be the hold up? I would have thought
I could have used tab and enter to acknowledge the window........

I went ahead and did a system reset and Windows booted up okay. I had to
change the display properties, which is where the process hung up. After
that, no problems so far.
