xp setup does not see my raid protected sata drives

doing a new install, windows xp pro w/service pack 2 ...

Have two sata drives connected to a promise fastrak tx2200 controller
card.

Was able to config mirrored protection in the fasttrak setup utility

Get an error on the windows xp setup step: No hard drives detected -
setup cannot continue.

The fasttrack tx2200 manual says "windows systems usually recognize the
FastTrak controller and will prompt for the driver CD. That is not the
case for me!

The message says no drives detected, setup cannot continue.

How can I get windows xp setup to detect my raid protected sata drives?

thanks,

-Steve

ran windows xp setup again and press F6. Setup prompted to type "S" to
install the disk drivers from floppy. Only problem is the promise
tx220 only came with a driver CD, not a floppy.

Still cannot get windows xp setup to recognize my sata raid 1 protected
drives.

By installing the drivers using the F6 option in the installation of win
After the installation you then configure your raid.

ok. I read the "maxtor sata driver whatever" message posted earlier
and see my problem. Have to copy the sata controller card drivers to
floppy.

thanks,
