Sorry if this is the wrong forum. I have a dell dimension 4300 desktop. It
came preinstalled with win2000 pro. Dell, then sent me my xp pro upgrade
disk. Recently my HD crashed and I had to buy a new HD and reinstall win2000
pro and upgrade to xp pro. Now, I'm trying to install xp's service packs but
when I go to MS update site they don't appear. I called Dell, they said since
my 3 year warranty had expired I needed contact MS for the service packs. Not
quite sure way since I have a valid product key for the xp upgrade. Is there
any way I can get or purchase the service packs? If so, who or where can I go
to get them. Also, do both need to be installed or can I just install service
pack 2 on top of my xp upgrade?

I gather I only need to install sp2. Also, is there any where to buy sp2? I
have slow dsl service, it will take 3 hours to download. thanks.
