Downloaded 1.9MB taking 2 1/2 hrs. When this was done
computer was playing up.Where buttons should have been
there were no pictures only x's where they should have
been. Found out through a game site that something was
wrong with a Java file so I did system restore and
downloaded the MSJAVX 86_3805.exe and things seem fine
now. Has anyone any idea how to download XP SP1 files
without having to stay so long at computer and does
downloading updates usually mess up everything. PLEASE
HELP. Thanks
 
SP1 is not 1.9 MB, it can be any size up to about 45 MB, the
1.9 MB file is the program that scans your computer to see
what files are really needed, then you download them. Hope
you're not on dial-up.

You can order SP1 on a CD.

Current SP1a does not have JAVA because of the court order.
