Hello,

I know someone asked this a few weeks back, but before I go ahead and do anything I just wanted to check, is everyone still happy with Service Pack 3. Or have any issues reared their ugly heads.

Call me over cautious, but our PC's just had to be resuscitated once, and I don't want to risk doing anything to cause it to go haywire again! ;)

Thanks

Yep, really happy with it on my laptop! There have been a few threads on it in this forum, and the general consensus is that it's fine :)

It's usually worth updating as there will be lots of hotfixes and patches all rolled in to one release :thumb:

Just the one issue re: wireless conection 2 PCs out of 200 so not bad:) resolved easily enough:nod: re-install the software/driver

Everything should be fine - and if it isn't you know where to call ;)

You may have to manually re-register a few dlls for windows update to work etc
You may have to disable power management and delete the file used to sort the looping boot
..........
etc
..........
but my view is it's better to kill the cancer and deal with the hair loss than it is not to.
SP3, in my view, is essiential, deal with the side effects after.

Forgot to mention - I have SP3 on CD if you want to use that rather than use Windows Update :thumb:
