Have attempted to download twice or install from cd on
two separate occasions. Will hang up in the middle and
become non-responsive. What do i do to get it to finish
up?

Some log files you can check for any clues or error messages:

%windir%\Svcpack.log
%windir%\setupapi.log

(%windir% is typically C:\Windows)
