Service Pack 2

Lendav

After being prompted that new Windows updates are available, I have
attempted twice to install Service Pack 2 but get the error message "
Service Pack did not install. Reverting changes. Do not turn off your
computer." I already have SP1 installed on my HP Pavillion 32 bit OS with
Windows Vista Home Premium. Please advise if this is a known problem and a
possible fix. Thanks in advace.

Delete C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log

Run SFC /SCANNOW

If it saids there were problems it could not fix...

Make a copy of the CBS.log and open the copy.

Look for "repairing" and copy/paste that section, or post the log somewhere
with the link so I can check it out.

I've been trying to download Service pack 2 for my 64 bit x86 comp but i
cant find the suitable download. OS - vista home premium

I'm trying to find it online because my windows update is not starting,
and there are other problems, like the control panel is not opening.

Can someone send a link to download SP2 ?

"...64 bit X86..." An X86 machine is not 64-bit. An X64 machine is.
Here is the link that you requested.
