XP Service Pack 1

I recently downloaded and installed XP Service Pack 1
from the microsoft site. Then I checked my XP install CD
and noticed that Service Pack 1 was included on the
install CD. Do I have Service Pack 1 installed twice
taking up hard drive storage space? Or did the downloaded
version replace the files on the install CD? When I
check the properties of the Service Pack folders and
files in the windows directory the dates and times shown
are the same as the time that I downloaded and installed
frmm the MS site.

Likely just installed over itself, but I am suprised you didn't get a
message saying "SP1 is already installed" or something like that.
