XP Reverse file compression

I didn't explain it properly. I mean the NTFS file
compression. With the compress files box unchecked, the
apply button remains greyed out and clicking ok just
closes without any change. The drive is networked to
another drive - but I shouldn't think that matters.

How about "Free Disk Space" - if the contents of the compressed drive will
exceed the total space of the drive when the contents is uncompressed, then
NT (XP, 2k, NT, 2003 Server, etc) will not allow the uncompress to begin to
avoid loss of data.
