XP Restarting?

Someone here may be able to. First turn OFF Automatically restart, by
r-clicking on My Computer, and then select "Properties, then Advanced
and then "Start up and Recovery" Settings button. UNcheck "Automatically
restart". Now the next time it crashes you may read the error message
and the error number and the file referenced and make notes. Post that
info here and somebody can tell you what to check or change.

My XP plays up a lot. It keeps restarting itself. What shall I do. Can
you help me?

Two points:

1. This is much more likely to be a hardware problem than a Windows
one.

2. You are blue-screening, and you are set to reboot whenever that
happens. Right-click My Computer, and choose Properties. On the
Advanced tab, click Settings under Startup and Recovery. Under System
failure, uncheck the box "Automatically restart.

Now when the problem occurs again, instead of restarting, you will get
the blue screen with diagnostic information. Post back with those
details for more help.
