XP reboots when starting webcam in Messenger

Hi, I see a number of (very) old postings for this problem, but n
solutions:

My webcam (Logitech) works fine in stand alone mode

When I use Live Messenger or Skype to my other computer, everythin
works,
UNTIL I start the webcam. The other computer REBOOTs automatically (o
displays the blue screen of death).

Who has the solution???
