Live messenger stops working when starting webcam

Live messenger works ok, HP Laptop built in webcam works ok using Cyberlink
YouCam software,but when I try to use the webcam for video chat it always
goes through audio and video setup, when I select tha cam to use Messenger
always crashes out. All updates are installed. Re-installing has not made a
difference.
Doing my head in now.......

Sorry, but that has nothing to do with the newsgroup in which you posted.
This newsgroup is for supporting the Windows Mail program.
Try the Messenger newsgroup: microsoft.public.windows.live.messenger
