XP reboot on connection to internet

Greetings,
I get the system rebooting, not always, but particularly
on the first time. Very annoying.

I have a conexant modem, I think, with a generic modem
driver. There doesn't seem to be a proper microsoft
driver for it.
Maybe this is the problem.

In the event log, there is a system error, not sure it is
related

from one or more time sources, however none of the
sources are currently accessible. No attempt to contact
a source will be made for 14 minutes. NtpClient has no
source of accurate time.

But microsoft don't seem to know what to do with it.

Can anyone help?

I would hate to have to format drive and start again.

Heres a link to the download patch to remove it and let u
back on the net - once removed you must follow the
instructions on the symantic website to have it completely
removed.
Oh yeah the virus is called W32.Blaster.Worm
