XP randomly asks for user password!!

HI,

I have an XP PRO system and, recently, it started to ask the login user
password even thought I NEVER set up a user password. The behaviour is
strange:

I have 3 users:

1 - I boot up the system, and it does NOT ask for pwd.
2 - I disconnect a user, and it DOES ask for password on any other user
3 - I reboot the system, and it starts from point 1, on and on.....

One thing has changed in my configuration: I recently put up a new
internet connection. Can this be the cause of this strange behaviour?
