XP Program Shortcuts - Very Slow

B

I set up some keyboard shortcuts for programs on the Programs menu of
my Start Menu (e.g. Ctrl-Alt-I for Internet Explorer).

The shortcuts work, but it takes ~30-60 seconds for the program to
start.

Any ideas why this would be?

Just a thought.

Is your IE shortcut that Ctrl + Alt + I is pointing to a shortcut to a
shortcut?

Right click that shortcut | Properties | Shorcut tab | Find Target button

Find Target
[[Click to open the folder that contains the original item that this
shortcut points to.]]

iexplore.exe is Internet Explorer and should be in %ProgramFiles%\Internet
Explorer.

Unfortuneately, that was the only thought that I had on the subject.

Double clicking the shortcut works faster than the keys?
