I keep getting "spoolsv.exe" running and taking up all
CPU capacity "100%". what is it and why does it start
without warning

spoolsv.exe is the Print spooler service. Is there a print job stuck in the
queue? Otherwise you could have been hijacked. Tried any trojan/spyware
apps to check?

Do a google on '100% cpu spoolsv.exe'. It returns quite a few hits....
