XP Professional SP 2 Error Message

I have a user running a brand new laptop with XP Pro SP 2 and has started
receiving the following error message, "Reconnecting to the network causes a
synchronization to occur. In order to begin synchronizing, all of your files
and folders must be closed. Please close all of your files and folders then
press OK. Any remaining open files will be forcibly closed by Windows."

There are no files or folders opened when this message appears. According
to the KB article, this issue was supposed to fixed in SP2. I am running
SP2. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help.
