Hi all
I'm very new at XP networking. I'd like 30 computers running XP professional to join a domain whose DNS is a computer running Windows 2000 Server. Is it possible? Will I need any special configuration at the server or the clients?
Thanks in advance

Hi -

You won't need any special configuration on the server
end other than to insure there are enough client access
licenses available to meet your needs.

On the workstation end, all that needs to happen is the
XP workstation needs a machine account on the domain in
order to log on to the domain. The domain account can
either be created on the server using Active Directory
Users and Computers or from the workstation when joining
the domain - but if you join the domain from the
workstation the person joining the domain has to have
sufficient rights on the domain to add a machine account.

Good luck -
