Xp Profess ional-Setup halts.

I needed to reinstall Windows Xp. The setup starts as
normal, but halts at "Installing Devices" and both the
keyboard and mouse stop responding.When I turn off the
power,and late restart the PC the setup starts again and
stop at the same stage.1)How can I stop the setup to
restart when I turn on the PC.2)How can I override the
Device installation.

Unplug as much as you can (eg modems, soundcards) and turn off as much as possible in the BIOS (on board versions of the things above). This will normally allow setup to continue. If you have onboard video and a card remove the card and use onboard video.

BIOS info is in the manual supplied with your computer or computer's motherboard.
