I usaully leave mc PC on for about a week at a time. This last time I was having a big problem. Every program I opened would lock up and only display the Help menu for that program. I got my PC working again by reinstalling XP. The only problem is now my speakers will not work. The speakers are still good, but no matter what I do, I can't get the sound to work. I need help. All my music is on my PC and that is one of my main hobbies. Thank you.

Have you tried; Control Panel, Sounds Speech and audio devices; Sounds and
Audio; Audio Tab; Sound Playback-Use the dropdown to see what is selected
for playback. Check to see if "Mute" is checked in any boxes in Volume Tab,
advanced. Also, look in the Volume tab, speaker settings, advanced, speaker
setup, and use the dropdown to see what is chosen. Are speakers plugged in
to the correct jack in rear of tower? Hope any of this helps, however simple
it may be. Good Luck.
