I havce recently noticed two problems that have developed on my version of XP
(SP1, SP2):
1. Just recently my Help and Support Center stopped working. I click on it
and the hourglass runs for about 1 second before stopping without the HSC
opening.
2. I have my XP upgrades set to notify me when upgrades were available so I
could choose which upgrades to download and install and spread my download
over a longer time (because my connection here is super expensive). Recently
the alert icon in the windows display taskbar has disappeared despite the
settings remaining unchanged.
Any ideas? No major changes, having issues with spyware etc - can't find
info on enabling these services/functions again.
